How to prevent bending and wave defects in aluminum alloy products during extrusion?
Bending and wave: Deviations in the shape and position of aluminum alloy products along the length direction that do not meet the requirements of drawings and technical conditions.
(1) Inadequate mold hole design;
(2) Inappropriate or missing guide rails;
(3) Inadequate mold lubrication;
(4) Inappropriate extrusion speed;
(5) Too low quenching temperature.
Methods to eliminate bending and wave in extruded aluminum profile products:
(1) Improve the level of aluminum alloy mold design and
manufacturing;
(2) Install appropriate guide rails and traction during extrusion;
(3) Adjust metal flow rate using local lubrication, modifying the mold to add a guide, or changing the design of the splitter hole;
(4) Reasonably regulate the extrusion temperature and speed to ensure uniform deformation;
(5) Appropriately increase the quenching temperature.
