What are the common forming methods for aluminum alloy products?
Aluminum alloy product forming processing can be divided into rolling, extrusion, drawing, forging, spinning, forming processing (such as cold stamping, cold transformation, deep drawing, etc.) and deep processing (CNC gong, milling, lathe processing, stamping, drilling, tapping, rolling, laser engraving, etc.).
1、 Rolling forming: Aluminum alloy rolling can be divided into longitudinal rolling, transverse rolling, and oblique rolling according to the direction of rotation of the rolling mill. According to different roll systems, aluminum alloy rolling can be divided into two roll system rolling, multi roll system rolling, and special roll system (such as planetary rolling, V-shaped rolling) rolling. According to the different types of products, aluminum alloy rolling can be divided into sheet (aluminum plate), strip (aluminum wire), foil rolling (aluminum foil), bar (aluminum rod), flat bar (aluminum bar) and irregular rolling (industrial material), pipe (aluminum tube) and hollow profile rolling (industrial irregular material, extrusion forming mold is called diversion).
2、 Extrusion molding: Applying external force to the metal ingot in the extrusion cylinder (ingot cylinder) to make it flow out from the designated mold guide hole, and obtaining the required cross-sectional shape and size of the product from the surface.
There are several main extrusion methods for industrial aluminum profiles: 1. Positive extrusion method. 2. Reverse squeezing method. 3. Pipe extrusion method. 4. Continuous extrusion method, etc.
3、 Forging and Forming: There are two methods for forging aluminum alloys: free forging and die forging. Free forging involves placing the workpiece between a flat anvil for forging; Die forging is the process of placing a workpiece in a mold of a given size and shape, applying pressure to the mold to forge and deform it, and obtaining the required die forging from the surface.
